Presentation

VisualisationWhatever information or functions are provided for people they happen via user interfaces. The same goes with HEMS applications of course. The amounts of energy or other resources used must be displayed in the most informative and useful ways, by hourly, daily, weekly, monthly and yearly consumption, with comparisons between different periods and comparisons to national averages, similar user groups and so on. The resources used must not be presented only by “engineers’ terms” of kilowatt hours but as the price of used or saved energy and CO2 produced or avoided instead.

What is the right place or device to get hold of this information and the controls? It can be a dedicated “Home Energy Display” somewhere on the wall of course. But nowadays the most commonly used ways of accessing information are the PC and the mobile phone.

ThereGate provides the tools for applications to communicate with the users through standard Web user interfaces, widgets and even native applications in today’s smart phones. Thus the users can access all their energy information, see alarms and notifications as well as perform actions in their homes with their mobile phones, their PCs or their Tablet computers, whichever is the most convenient way at certain times. And the information can also be displayed on a wall mounted display or a modern Interned enabled TV set too if wanted.
